Maybe the soft life starts with choosing yourself. I think as women, we have neglected ourselves for so incredibly long that sometimes slowing down actually feels uncomfortable. Think about that. We say we want the soft life. We save the skincare routines, the cozy mornings, the beautiful homes, the woman taking her time getting ready with nowhere she needs to rush off to. And somewhere inside of us, we’re thinking, I want that. But then we go right back to putting ourselves last. Lately I’ve been realizing that if I keep saying I want to embody this version of myself, at some point I actually have to start living like her. Not someday. Not when everything is perfect. Now. That realization is actually part of why I started a brand new Pinterest business account. My other account was doing well, but I started trying to make it do too many things, and eventually I realized something. I was working harder while moving further away from the woman I was trying to become. So I started asking myself different questions. What does my dream life actually look like? What do my mornings feel like? How do I take care of myself? How do I work? What am I building? And most importantly, how do I want to feel while I’m building it? Because embodying her isn’t just about becoming more successful. Sometimes it’s looking at the inner child wounds that taught us we had to earn rest. That everybody else came first. That wanting beautiful things was selfish. That slow mornings belong to other women. That we weren’t worthy of the life we kept dreaming about. I’m not carrying that belief with me anymore. And something pretty incredible happened because of that. I built my own app. I woke up one morning knowing I needed to build something, and what started as Embody Her Journal has now become an actual platform that I own. I cannot even explain how exciting that feels, because this is exactly what I’ve been talking about. Build your own platform. Create somewhere your thoughts, your voice, your recommendations, your resources, your products, and your community can actually live. That’s what Embody Her has become. You can join for free and explore my thought posts, podcast episodes, resources, recommendations, and everything I’m creating along this journey. I’ve also officially launched Embody Her Collective inside the app. That’s where I’m going deeper. In fact, one of the first full video courses I’m teaching inside the collective is exactly how I built my own app. I’m breaking the process into two phases, so women can see how to begin building something they actually own instead of depending entirely on someone else’s platform. But here’s what all of this has to do with self-care. The soft life still has to be supported. We can romanticize our mornings, buy the skincare, light the pumpkin candle, and create beautiful routines. I love all of that. But I also want women thinking about how we’re going to create the freedom that allows us to live differently. That’s where affiliate marketing, digital products, teaching what you know, and building your own platform come in. If you already love discovering products like the ones featured in this pin, Pinterest can become part of that ecosystem. You don’t have to perform online all day. You don’t have to make your entire life content. You can create beautiful, searchable content that leads people back to something you own. If you want to learn the Pinterest side of what I’m building, you’ll find my Pinterest affiliate blueprint linked below. And if you came here because you wanted the products featured in this pin, I’ve linked those below too. You can also explore the resources section inside the Embody Her app for more of the products, tools, and resources I’m actually using. Because maybe the soft life isn’t about escaping your real life. Maybe it’s about intentionally building a life you don’t constantly need to escape from. And maybe embodying her begins when you stop waiting for permission to become her.
